Almost all Omnigrid® rulers come with a pre-drilled hole that allows you to hang them on a hook if you have a pegboard available in your work area.

The Omnigrid® wooden ruler rack is a great option if space is a concern. The wooden ruler rack is 19” long and includes 5 linear slots that allow the rulers to sit upright, making them visible as well as accessible.

To minimize slipping, use a more balanced pressure on you Omnigrid® ruler when cutting. You could also apply some optional products to the underside of the rulers that help prevent slipping.

InvisiGrip™ is a clear cinyl cling product that can be cut and applied to the underside of rulers to create a non-slip surface. InvisiGrip™ can be removed and reused without leaving a residue.

What is the difference between Omnigrid and Omnigrip rulers?

Print ThisPrint ThisEmail ThisEmail This

The original Omnigrid® rulers are printed using a patented 2-color process of black and yellow ink which makes it easier to see lines on all different colors of fabric.

Omnigrip was developed to help eliminate slipping on fabric. A non-slip solution is added to the green ink that helps provide a slip resistant surface that gently grips fabric when slight pressure is applied. The green ink highlights a 1/8-inch section along the outside of the ruler, and 1/8 inch on either side of the inch lines giving you a great visual ¼ inch section for checking seam allowances as well.
